Privacy Policy
How we handle your information — in plain language.
This is a starting template for a student club, not legal advice. Please have it reviewed before you launch publicly.
Who we are
The Mental Health Club is a student-run, university peer-support community. We are students supporting students — we are not a medical provider, clinic, or emergency service.
What we collect
Account details you provide (name, email, university, faculty, year, gender) when you sign up.
Things you choose to create in the app: mood check-ins, journal entries, self-assessment results (PHQ-9, GAD-7, C-SSRS), buddy requests, support messages, and anonymous wall submissions.
If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google.
How it's stored
Your data is stored in our Supabase database with row-level security, so each person can only access their own records. Journal entries and mood notes that say 'saved to this device' stay in your browser only.
Some content is reviewed by trained club admins for safety and moderation (for example, support intakes, safety screenings, and wall submissions).
Sensitive information & safety
Mental-health information is sensitive. We treat it with care and limit who can see it. If a message indicates someone may be at risk of harm, it may be flagged to club supervisors so they can offer help quickly.
We are not an emergency service. In a crisis, contact emergency services (911 in Jordan) or the helplines listed in the app.
Your choices
You can use most of the app anonymously. You can request that we delete your account and associated data by contacting us.
You can withdraw from the buddy program at any time.
